Position Overview
The Purchase Officer – Packaging Material Procurement will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing packaging materials required for the manufacturing of our products. This role is critical in maintaining a consistent supply of high-quality materials at competitive prices while ensuring vendor compliance and alignment with our product development timelines.

Key Responsibilities
✔Source and procure primary and secondary packaging materials (tubes, bottles, jars, cartons, labels, etc.).
✔Identify, evaluate, and onboard new packaging suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and sustainability.
✔Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost efficiencies without compromising quality.
✔Collaborate with the R&D, Production, and Quality Assurance teams to understand material requirements and specifications.
✔Maintain and manage inventory levels to avoid stockouts and overstocking.
✔Monitor vendor performance through KPIs such as OTIF (On-Time In-Full), quality adherence, and responsiveness.
✔Ensure proper documentation, including purchase orders, agreements, and compliance certificates.
✔Keep abreast of market trends, innovations in sustainable packaging, and cost-effective alternatives.
✔Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes.

Education
Any Bachelor’s degree

Hard Skills
✔Strong knowledge of packaging materials used in cosmetics, skincare, and oral care.
✔Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Tally, Oracle) and MS Office (especially Excel).
✔Solid understanding of vendor sourcing, pricing analysis, and cost-saving strategies.
✔Ability to read and interpret packaging drawings/specifications.
