Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee and optimize the production operations of our manufacturing unit in Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production schedules, ensuring quality standards, and leading a team to achieve production targets. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes in the skincare, cosmetics, or oral care industry.

Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning and Execution:

✔Oversee the entire production process to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing of products.
✔Develop and implement production schedules to meet organizational goals and deadlines.
✔Monitor production workflows and resolve any issues that may arise during the process.

Team Management:

✔Lead, train, and motivate a team of production staff, supervisors, and technicians.
✔Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
✔Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to enhance productivity.

Quality Control:

✔Ensure all products meet the company’s quality standards and specifications.
✔Implement and maintain quality control procedures to minimize defects and waste.
✔Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address and resolve quality-related issues.

Resource Management:

✔Manage the allocation of resources, including manpower, machinery, and materials, to optimize production efficiency.
✔Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and packaging.
✔Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.

Cost Management:

✔Monitor production costs, including labor, materials, and overheads, to ensure operations stay within budget.
✔Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising product quality.
✔Prepare and manage the production budget.

Process Improvement:

✔Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the production process and implement solutions.
✔Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.
✔Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to enhance production efficiency.

Health, Safety, and Compliance:

✔Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety protocols.
✔Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations related to manufacturing operations.
✔Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.

Reporting and Documentation:

✔Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, quality metrics, and operational KPIs.
✔Maintain accurate records of production data, inventory, and compliance documentation.

Qualifications:

✔Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
✔Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in production management, preferably in the skincare, cosmetics, or oral care manufacturing industry.
✔Strong knowledge of production processes, GMP, and quality standards.
✔Proven experience in team management and leadership.
✔Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
✔Proficiency in using ERP systems and other production management software.
✔Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
