Position Overview
We are seeking a highly creative and technically skilled R&D Fragrance and Flavor Specialist to lead fragrance and flavor development for our cosmetic, beauty, and personal care formulations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sensory experiences, an understanding of market trends, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to create signature scents and flavors that enhance product appeal.

Key Responsibilities
✔Develop and evaluate fragrances and flavors for skin care, hair care, cosmetics, and oral care products.
✔Collaborate with the formulation and product development teams to ensure compatibility and stability of fragrance/flavor in formulations.
✔Conduct sensory evaluations and consumer panel tests to assess performance and acceptance.
✔Stay updated with market trends, raw material innovations, and regulatory guidelines.
✔Liaise with fragrance houses and raw material suppliers for sourcing and sampling.
✔Maintain detailed documentation, formulation records, and stability reports.
✔Ensure compliance with IFRA, FSSAI, and other applicable regulatory standards.
✔Support new product launches with fragrance/flavor concepts aligned with brand positioning.

Required Qualifications & Skills
Hard Skills:
✔In-depth knowledge of fragrance & flavor chemistry and sensory science.
✔Experience in cosmetic, personal care, or oral care formulation.
✔Understanding of stability testing, compatibility, and regulatory requirements (e.g., IFRA, FSSAI).
✔Proficiency in GC-MS analysis, olfactory evaluation, and raw material selection.
✔Strong project management and documentation skills.

Education & Certifications:
✔BSC, MSC/ Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Perfumery, or related field.
✔Additional certifications in fragrance creation, sensory evaluation, or cosmetic formulation preferred.

Preferred Experience:
✔3–7 years of relevant experience in fragrance and/or flavor development in the cosmetics, beauty, or personal care industry.
✔Proven track record in launching successful fragrance/flavor-based products.
✔Experience working with both domestic and international suppliers.
