Position Overview
We are seeking a Fragrance Specialist to join our Research & Development team in Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, evaluating, and optimizing fragrances for cosmetic, skincare, and oral care formulations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with brand identity.

Key Responsibilities
✔Develop, test, and evaluate fragrances for skin care, cosmetic, and oral care products.
✔Collaborate with formulation chemists to ensure fragrance stability, safety, and compatibility with product bases.
✔Conduct sensory evaluations and maintain fragrance libraries.
✔Stay updated on fragrance market trends, raw materials, and innovative aroma technologies.
✔Ensure all fragrance applications meet IFRA, regulatory, and safety standards.
✔Coordinate with suppliers for sourcing and sampling new fragrance materials.
✔Support marketing and branding teams with fragrance storytelling for new product launches.
✔Maintain detailed records of fragrance trials, evaluations, and project timelines.

Qualifications & Skills
Hard Skills (Technical Competencies)
✔Expertise in fragrance formulation, sensory evaluation, and olfactory profiling.
✔Knowledge of IFRA guidelines, cosmetic regulations, and safety compliance.
✔Understanding of cosmetic, skincare, and oral care product bases.
✔Proficiency in maintaining fragrance databases and conducting stability tests.

Soft Skills (Behavioral Competencies)
✔Strong creative and sensory skills.
✔Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
✔Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
✔Ability to work under deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

Education & Certifications
✔BSC, MSC/ Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Perfumery, or related field.
✔Certifications from fragrance institutes (e.g., ISIPCA, Cinquième Sens, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.

Preferred Experience
✔3–5 years of experience as a fragrance specialist, evaluator, or perfumer in cosmetic, skincare, or oral care product development.
✔Experience in collaborating with fragrance houses and working in an R&D environment.
