Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented In-Process Quality Assurance (IPQA) Officer to ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the manufacturing and packaging processes of cosmetic and personal care products. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with internal SOPs, regulatory standards, and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
✔Perform in-process quality checks during manufacturing, filling, and packaging of skin care, hair care, and personal care products.
✔Conduct line clearance, environment monitoring, and ensure hygiene and GMP compliance before and during batch operations.
✔Monitor and record critical process parameters including weight, pH, viscosity, and appearance.
✔Verify batch manufacturing records (BMR) and batch packaging records (BPR) for accuracy and completeness.
✔Identify, report, and support resolution of non-conformances and deviations.
✔Ensure timely escalation of OOS (Out of Specification) or OOT (Out of Trend) results.
✔Assist in implementation of CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action).
✔Coordinate with production, QC, and QA teams for process improvements and issue resolution.
✔Maintain accurate and updated QA documentation and support during audits.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
✔B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related discipline
Hard Skills:
✔Good understanding of GMP, GLP, and ISO standards in cosmetics/personal care manufacturing
✔Knowledge of QA documentation, batch review, and in-process testing methods
✔Familiarity with regulatory norms (Ayush, BIS, ISO 22716) applicable to cosmetic products
Soft Skills:
✔High attention to detail and a proactive attitude
✔Good communication and reporting skills
✔Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
✔Problem-solving mindset and accountability for assigned responsibilities
✔Time management and multitasking capability in a fast-paced production environment
Preferred Experience:
✔1 to 3 years of experience in IPQA/QA roles in cosmetics, personal care, or FMCG manufacturing
