Position Overview
The Senior Chemist will play a pivotal role in developing and formulating high-quality skin care, cosmetics, and oral care products that align with HCP Wellness’s standards of excellence and innovation. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and creativity to drive product development from concept to market while ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
✔Lead the formulation and development of new skin care, cosmetics, and oral care products, ensuring alignment with client specifications and market trends.
✔Conduct stability, compatibility, and performance testing to ensure product safety, efficacy, and shelf-life.
✔Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and marketing, to translate concepts into scalable, manufacturable products.
✔Stay updated on industry trends, raw materials, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and other relevant standards.
✔Optimize existing formulations to improve performance, cost-efficiency, or sustainability.
✔Mentor junior chemists, providing guidance on formulation techniques and best practices.
✔Document all processes, formulations, and test results accurately for intellectual property and regulatory purposes.
✔Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, incorporating eco-friendly and innovative ingredients.

Qualifications
Education/Certifications
✔Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or a related field.
✔Certification in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or Cosmetic Science (e.g., SCC or IFSCC) is a plus.

Hard Skills
✔Expertise in cosmetic and personal care product formulation, including emulsions, gels, creams, and oral care solutions.
✔Proficiency in analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC-MS, FTIR) for raw material and product testing.
✔Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, EU Cosmetics Regulation, ISO 22716).
✔Experience with scale-up processes from lab to production.
✔Familiarity with sustainable and natural ingredient sourcing.

✔Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address formulation challenges.

✔Prior leadership or supervisory experience in an R&D or formulation team.
